About
George Maina Mwangi
I'm George Maina Mwangi, Founder & CEO of WanderWorth.

WanderWorth is building the travel industry's community through curated events, founder relationships, and ecosystem partnerships. That is the current business: events, community, partnerships, and relationship infrastructure for travel founders, operators, creators, investors, media, hospitality leaders, and travel-tech companies.
I'm a Kenyan-American founder and operator based in Arlington, Virginia, and relocating to Brooklyn, New York. My work sits across travel-industry ecosystem building, event production, partnership operations, founder-led storytelling, and relationship-led distribution.
Checkout is the most visible version of that work. It brings founders, engineers, AI builders, designers, students, operators, and travel companies into one room to build around real travel and hospitality problems. The curated dinners are the smaller, higher context layer planned around it.
My long-term goal is to become one of the highest-context people in the venture-backed travel startup ecosystem: the person who knows who is building what, what is actually working, and which relationships make things happen.
I studied Economics at Ohio State University and finished in December 2022.
Company history
WanderWorth 1.0 was an AI-powered B2B SaaS travel platform. Discovery produced interest but not willingness to pay, and I wrote a 35-point GTM post-mortem about it.
WanderWorth 2.0 was a travel advisory built around commission infrastructure. The demand was real, but the founder-market fit was not.
WanderWorth 3.0 is the current business: travel-industry events, community, partnerships, and relationship infrastructure.
